Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) began as an agency that provided licenses to companies wishing to invest in Afghanistan. AISA has now evolved into a pro-active institution on promoting and attracting investment to Afghanistan. AISA, having its main office in Kabul and regional offices in Herat, Kandahar, Mazar-i-sharif, Nangharhar, Khost, Kunduz, Paktia, Faryab and Helmand province, delivers a wide range of services to investors all over the country.



Job Description:


The Investment Support & Government Relations Manager will supervise the Departmental activities and keep inform him/herself of the investment laws, Tax laws and other related laws to the investment.


Providing detailed information to both domestic and foreign investors about the investment climate in Afghanistan, registering companies, getting AISA’s license procedure and other investment related laws















Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Pointing out the key Investment Opportunities to both domestic and foreign investors.
  2. Arrange meetings with the official of sectoral ministries such as (Ministry of Finance, Agriculture, Mining and petroleum and Telecommunication) to solve the relevant problems and expand further investment opportunities for the investors.
  3. Arranging meetings with the Ministry of Agriculture Irrigation and Live Stock, and Afghanistan Land Authority in relation for granting land to the potential investors.
  4. Participation in the meetings with the Vice president Investment Support and with the top management of AISA.
  5. Pointing out the strategic objectives of Investment Support and Government Relation Department for Short, Medium and long term goals with the possible bearers and hurdles for achieving the desire goals and objectives.
  6. Make speedy process of Visa invitation and renewal process for foreign investors.
  7. Ensuring investment support services during the pre and post period of investment.
  8. Establishing sound relationship with the Ministries, Donor Agencies, Government and Non-organization in order to support investment.
  9. Providing specialized pre and post investment services to the investors.
  10. Providing the basic information about the market situation and investment climate and market situation, legal frame work for investment, tax laws, investment support programs and incentives packages for investors.
  11. Providing facilities for the investors to deal with the Government and Non- Government entities.
  12. Establishing close relations with the department of Research and Development, Investment Promotion, Licensing and industrial parks.
  13. Strong Coordination with the Government and Non-organizations.
  14. Making achievable plans for Investment Support and Government Relation Department.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Investment Support and Government relation.

Required Education and Experience



  • Master or Bachelor degree  in Economics, Businesses Administration or any social science discipline


  • With Master degree 2 years of experience with Bachelor degree 4 years of experience in the relevant field of business and private sector development and Government relation.
  • Understanding and practical knowledge of labor laws and other regulations


Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English, Pashtu and Dari
